Lalamove: on-demand delivery with map points

Lalamove is different from the other couriers: it is on-demand delivery priced by distance, it cannot collect cash, and it works in Bangladesh only if Lalamove enabled its API for your account.

What it is#

Lalamove is an on-demand delivery service. You ask for a quote, place the order, and follow the driver. It suits deliveries of orders that are already paid and need a driver quickly.

What you need#

• A Lalamove partner account with API access for your market. Bangladesh is not listed among the countries for which Lalamove opens its API, so check with Lalamove that your account has API access. There is no cash on delivery.

Where to find your keys#

   Open the partner portal

   Sign in to the Lalamove partner (developer) portal for your account. If you cannot find API keys, ask Lalamove to enable the Open API for your account.

   Copy the key and the secret

   Copy the API key and the API secret. Sandbox and live have different pairs.

   Choose the market

   Choose the Market code that Lalamove enabled for your key. Choose BD only if Lalamove confirmed it.

   Match the mode

   Choose Sandbox (testing) or Live to match the pair.

What Jukto does#

• Keys. Saved encrypted for this website only.
• Map points. Lalamove prices by place on the map. The Courier card shows Map points (Lalamove): type the Pickup address, the Pickup latitude and longitude, and the Buyer latitude and longitude.
• Quote. Get the price asks Lalamove for a quotation. It shows the delivery charge and how long the quotation is valid ("Valid until").
• Booking. Book with this courier places the Lalamove order from the quotation and saves the order ID and tracking on the order. You can follow the driver there.
• No cash on delivery. Lalamove cannot collect cash. Jukto refuses a booking with cash to collect above 0: "Lalamove cannot collect cash on delivery; book it only for an order that is already paid".
• Status and webhook. Jukto reads open parcels every 15 minutes, or at once with Check status now. Lalamove sets one webhook address per key: ask Lalamove to use the Webhook address from the provider page. Calls are checked with your API secret.
• Cancel. Cancel booking on the order also cancels the order at Lalamove.

Test and turn on#

   Open the provider

   Go to Dashboard > Tools > Integrations, open the Couriers group and choose Lalamove.

   Choose the mode and fill the fields

   Pick Sandbox (testing) or Live, fill API key, API secret and Market, then press Save.

   Press Test connection

   Jukto signs a request and asks Lalamove for its cities. You see "Lalamove accepted the keys" with the mode, the market and the number of cities.

   Press Turn on

   Pick the map points on an order that is already paid, press Get the price, then Book with this courier.
