Set up delivery and payment
Decide what delivery costs and how buyers pay: shipping rules, cash on delivery, manual bKash or Nagad, and online payment gateways.
Before the first order, two questions need an answer: what does delivery cost, and how do buyers pay? Both can be set in about ten minutes, and the Overview card Complete your store has a step for each (Delivery charge and Payment).
Before you start#
- A product that is published, so you can test with it: Add a product.
- The district your parcels leave from.
- If you want online payments: an account with the payment provider (SSLCommerz, bKash, Nagad, Paystation or EPS). Manual payment needs only your own bKash, Nagad or Rocket number.
Part 1: delivery charge#
The charge buyers see at checkout comes from your rules: where the parcel goes and how much it weighs.
- 1
Say where parcels leave from
Open Settings > Shipping. In Where your parcels leave from choose your district. Buyers in the same district get your "inside city" prices. Until you choose, Dhaka is assumed.
- 2
Add your rates
Press Add these rates on a ready-made courier rate card (a courier's public prices for your city, which you can change), or press Add rule and make your own: pick the places and set weight steps, for example up to 500 g, up to 1 kg, then a price for every extra kg. A Free delivery over an amount rule makes delivery free when the order reaches a subtotal. Free delivery is paid by you.
- 3
Put the rules in order
Rules run from the lowest Priority number up, and the first rule that fits the buyer's place and parcel weight sets the charge. Use Move up and Move down, or turn a rule Off.
- 4
Set the fallback
Open Settings > Checkout and fill Default delivery charge (in taka). It is used when no shipping rule fits. Turn on Ask for the district when your charge depends on the place.
- 5
Test it
Use the Shipping charge calculator at the bottom of Shipping. It works out a charge exactly like checkout.

Part 2: how buyers pay#
| Way to pay | What happens | Where you set it |
|---|---|---|
| Cash on delivery | The buyer pays the courier. The payment is recorded after the order is dispatched to a courier. Always offered when nothing else is on, so checkout never has no payment method | Tools > Integrations > Payments > Manual payment (the Checkout payment rules on that page) |
| Manual payment | The buyer sends money to your own bKash, Nagad or Rocket number or bank account and types the number and transaction ID. You check your wallet and mark the order paid | The same Manual payment page. Add at least one channel with a number |
| Online payment | The buyer pays on the provider's secure page: SSLCommerz, bKash, Nagad, Paystation or EPS. The order is marked paid only after the provider confirms it | Connect the provider on its page, test it, turn it on |
Also decide how orders are confirmed. In Settings > Checkout, Order confirmation is either I confirm each order (recommended) or Confirm orders automatically.
Common problems#
The delivery charge at checkout is not what I expected
Open the Shipping calculator and type the same place and weight. Then check the rule order: the first rule that fits wins. If no rule fits, the default delivery charge from Checkout applies.
Buyers do not see bKash or SSLCommerz at checkout
The provider must be connected, tested and turned on, and set to Live mode. Manual payment also needs at least one channel with a number.
Can I take only prepaid orders?
Yes, choose "Full payment online (no cash on delivery)" in the advance setting, with an online provider switched on.
