Courier balance and COD fee

Track the cash on delivery money each courier holds for you, book the courier delivery and COD charges, and withdraw to cash, bKash or bank.

4 min readLast updated 23 Oct 2026

Each courier holds the cash-on-delivery money for you. A paid COD order lands in the courier's account; the courier's delivery charge and COD charge come out of it as expenses. What is left is what the courier owes you.

Before you start#

  • Accounting and its Payment part are on.
  • Your couriers are connected for booking (see Book a courier), though the courier account works even for parcels you send by hand, as long as the courier name on the order matches.

Add a courier account#

  1. 1

    Open Accounting > Payment

The Courier accounts section is on the same page. If an order shows a courier name with no account, the page offers Add for that name.

  2. 2

    Click Add courier

Enter the Courier name, for example Steadfast.

  3. 3

    Set Names on orders

The courier names you type on orders, one per line. Orders with one of these names use this account.

  4. 4

Set the COD charge (% of the product value)

The share of the goods price (the order total without delivery charge) the courier keeps. For 700 of goods at 1%, the charge is 7.

  5. 5

    Choose the Delivery charge rule

The buyer's delivery charge, a fixed amount per order, or entered by hand.

  6. 6

Add any money the courier already holds

Money the courier already holds and the Opening day; use 0 if you start now.

See a courier's orders and fix a charge#

Press Orders on a courier tile for its COD orders: total, paid, delivery charge, COD charge and return charge. Charges lets you change a charge when the courier billed something else; set 0 to remove one. Book by the courier's rules books the charges automatically for an order.

Withdraw#

  1. 1

Click Withdraw on the courier tile

The dialog says how much the courier holds now.

  2. 2

Pick the account to receive it

Cash, bKash or a bank account.

  3. 3

Enter the amount, date and an optional fee

You cannot withdraw more than the courier holds.

  4. 4

    Save

    You see Withdrawal saved.

Common problems#

"No courier account matches this order's courier name."

Add the courier account, or add that name under Names on orders of the right account.

"The courier does not hold that much."

Withdraw a smaller amount. The balance only holds paid COD money minus charges.

Why is nothing booked when the parcel is delivered?

A courier charge is booked only when a courier account matches the order's courier name. Otherwise a note on the order says so and no money row is invented.
